As the nation was celebrating its 66th Independence Day enthusiasm was oozing in IIM Rohtak as the students, high on patriotic fervour, assembled in the Acads block. The event commenced with unfurling of the tricolour by Prof. P. Rameshan, Director and was followed by singing of the national anthem.
Independence Day Celebrations

Prof. Rameshan addressed the large gathering of students, faculty members and their families, reiterating his vision of India becoming a global leader again, leading the world both economically and intellectually in the coming decades, as it used to be in the ancient times. The faculty and students also spoke on the occasion, rededicating themselves to the service of the nation and to always put the national interest before self.
A Pledge of Mission was also taken by all present to fight social evils without being indifferent and to work selflessly for the progress of the nation and towards its ascendance as a global leader, thus re-emphasizing the role of IIM Rohtak in forging the new Indian socio-cultural milieu by being a global leader in management education, as envisioned in its vision and mission statements.
As has been a tradition for IIM Rohtak, students also visited the Lakhiram Orphanage, where they interacted with the children, distributed refreshments and organized cultural programmes.
